A woman has admitted abandoning her friend’s body after he
died from a drug overdose.
But worse than that, she is alleged to have taken selfies
with his corpse before posting them on Facebook.Chelsie Berry, 24, told officers that she and fellow drug
user, Jared Prier, had been too afraid to call an ambulance for
30-year-old Dennis Meyer because they were both high on meth-amphetamines and
Xanax.Berry from Carl Junction, Missouri, was reported by the New York Daily News to have ditched Meyer’s body
on a driveway of a rural home away from the location where the drugs had been
taken.State prosecutors have dropped the charge of abandonment
of a corpse against 28-year-old Prier, who was charged alongside Berry
for the same crime in August.She entered her guilty plea at Newton County
Circuit Court on December 22 and has yet to be sentenced.
