Discussing drugs, Madonna told him: "It's about how people take drugs to connect to God or to a higher level of consciousness. I keep saying, 'Plugging into the matrix'. "If you get high, you can do that, which is why a lot of people drop acid or do drugs, because they want to get closer to God."But there's going to be a short circuit, and that’s the illusion of drugs, because they give you the illusion of getting closer to God, but ultimately they kill you."
She then added: "I mean, I tried everything once, but as soon as I was high, I spent my time drinking tons of water to get it out of my system. As soon as I was high, I was obsessed with flushing it out of me. I was like, Okay, I’m done now."Asked what the most important profession is, the star also replied: "Prostitution, of course." Erm, WHAT?! The star proves despite being over 50, she can still give the likes of Kim Kardashian a run for her money. Solomon Akiyesi to his haters "Any tongue that rises against me in 2015 shall go dumb.”

Nollywood actor, Solomon Akiyesi made headlines when his secret wedding was exposed by his then pregnant wife. In an interview with Ynaija, when asked if he had regrets, he said....

“I don’t regret the incident at all; the only regret I carry around in my life is my inability to save my mother from death even she begged me to. She was very sick and begged me not to let her die, she told me on her sick bed that if she died there might be a paradigm shift in my life, and truly the shift did come…..and massively too. I married in 2003 and walked out of it years later because of my impatience for deceit and lies, i tried my hands on marriage again in 2007 and I was quite comfortable and happy with that because i loved her to death until the adventure that came my way last year. I am actually happier being alone, some people are not destined to marry, I might just be one of them….i also want to admonish people to have strong facts about any issue before jumping into conclusion and making unguarded statements because of the proliferation of cheap Internet platforms.
For example all the half-wits who were throwing barrages at me because of the event of 13th April last year have not been able to prove that I was actually going to marry another woman beyond the church drama. i’ve never paid bride price or gone to court to wed another woman after my wife….my ex wife. i’ve never taken any member of my family to any other village to go and knock on the door of another woman for marriage as a matter of fact i’ve never wedded any woman in any church. All my attempted marriages were usually hurriedly packaged under pressure and that’s where i get it wrong.
A woman shows me a little affection and I’m thinking marriage. A woman says she’s pregnant for me and i’m rushing to the  alter without proper check. I trust and love stupidly. But i know mistakes are for learning and i've learnt the hard way but people were fast to jump into conclusions and call me names even when they didn't know my reason for taking such unmitigated risk that almost tarnished my career and take my friends away. But within the last one year of being alone has taught me greater lessons i couldn’t have learnt as a married man. But in 2015 any tongue that rises against me again shall go dumb.”

600,000 HIV/AIDS patients living in Kaduna

Two civil society organisations- the Civil Society on HIV&AIDS in Nigeria and the Network of People Living with HIV&AIDS in Nigeria- on Monday in Kaduna criticised the state government for not doing enough for those living with HIV/AIDS in the state. The groups said no fewer than 600,000 persons, representing 9.2 per cent, second to Port Harcourt, are living with the HIV virus in the state. The organisations said the state government, in spite of the high figure, seemed not to be committed to tackling the disease, thereby abandoning patients and children orphaned by HIV and AIDS.
Addressing a press conference in the state capital to mark the 2014 World AIDS Day, the groups regretted that the coordination, care and support for persons living with HIV/AIDS in the state had been relegated to the background.Emmanuel Bonet, who read a prepared text on behalf of the groups, said as the world tried to put its acts together in closing the gap on HIV prevention and treatment, the future remained bleak for Kaduna as things had been deteriorating.Bonet noted that even with the presence of additional development partners bringing in resources to support government’s efforts, the apex body saddled with the responsibility for the coordination of the HIV intervention in the state had not lived up to expectation.Bonet therefore urged the state government to increase funding of HIV&AIDS activities, beginning with the release of funds under the Presidential Comprehensive Response Plan, which he said was already contained in the 2014 budget as well as to ensure that evidence, competence and professionalism take priority over politics and religious sentiments. He said the government should, as a matter of urgenc, “approve the last phase of the World Bank grant to enable civil society organisations implement evidence-based projects across the 23 local government areas of the state.
“Ensure that the Ministry of Women Affairs takes up its responsibility and assumes the driver’s seat on issues of orphans and other vulnerable children and women in Kaduna State.”In his contribution, Benjamin Angboson, one of the leaders of the groups, said with the current population of 600,000 persons living with the virus, the state ought to be seen fighting against the scourge with all sincerity. He added that current national reports ranked Kaduna second to Rivers State with 9.2 per cent HIV prevalence rate.Angboson said, “600,000 persons living with HIV in the state is second to Rivers. Benue used to be second but the current statistics show that Kaduna State is 9.2 per cent HIV prevalence rate. The state needs to take proactive measures so that the state do not record high rate of orphans and widows.”Via.punch
