Morgan Mahoney 24, facing a jail term of 120 years for having affair with 16 year- old boy.

A former gym teacher at Moore Catholic high school in Staten Island has been charged with 30 counts of statutory rape for allegedly having numerous inappropriate sexual encounters with a 16 year old male student.

Megan Mahoney, 24, according to charging documents obtained from Richmond County, she is facing 30 counts of rape in the third degree, each count having maximum term of 4 years so you do the math.

It all began when Mahoney, a former Wagner College star basketball player and assistant basketball coach for Moore Catholic offered to coach the boy in basketball.

The sexual encounters allegedly occurred in a 4 month time period between Oct 2013 and January 2014 at least two times a week with some occurring on Moore Catholic High property, according to police.

The walls closed in when the ex-girlfriend of the boy involved allegedly spotted the two at a pizzeria and contacted police. With the investigation on by the NYPD, Mahoney resigned in January and was arrested this past Monday and released without bail.

The elderly Manhattan man was bound to a coffee table for 20 hours while the twin teenage vixens he had just wined and dined stole his credit cards and $470 in cash — and then went shopping for makeup, court papers revealed.

Shalaine Foster and her sister Shaina, both 17, were busted Tuesday and each was charged with kidnapping, robbery, burglary, grand larceny and assault.

The teens, who both have rap sheets, were ordered held without bail in Manhattan Criminal Court, records show. And their case has been referred to a grand jury.

Police Parade Man Who Raped 3 Biological Daughters, 7 Other Rapists

The Nasarawa State Police command yesterday paraded one Ikechukwu Desmond Okonkwo for allegedly raping three of his daughters. Seven other rapists who gang-raped a beer seller were also paraded with him.

While addressing journalists at the state Criminal Investigation Department on the successes recorded by his Command between September and October 2014, the state Police Commissioner, Usman Yakubu, said Mr. Okwonkwo’s wife reported the matter to the police.

The police commissioner alleged that the girls were in their father’s custody when he committed the crime.

The Commissioner said the victims had since corroborated their mothers testimony that their father had actually had carnal knowledge of them.

Mr. Yakubu did not provide the ages of the three girls. He also did not say when Mr. Okwonkwo would be charged to court.

On the seven other alleged rapists arrested, the commissioner said they deceived one Joy (surname withheld so she is not stigmatized) by offering her a lift in their car after having drinks in her beer parlor only to take her to a different destination and raped her.

The commissioner said, “That on 20/9/2014 at about 10:00hrs one …. (name withheld) ‘f’ of Abuja street Lafia reported at ‘B’ Division that on the 19/9/2014 at about 19:00hrs a group of boys numbering seven came to her shop and drank beer up till 00:00hrs”

“When she closed her shop then the same boys told her to enter their car so that they will drop her at home but instead they took her to the house of one of them called Mohammed Suleiman ’m’ at M and ‘D’ private hospital along Jos road, Lafia, and had sexual intercourse without her consent”.

“We have recorded activities of scrupulous elements who are in the habit of raping innocent minors.

“Notable among them is one Ikechukwu Demond Okwonkwo who has been having carnal knowledge of his three daughters. This revelation was made known to the police by his wife”.

The he therefore urged the general public to report any case of rape/defilement/incest to the nearest Police Station so as to curb this condemnable act.

Sharia Court orders man to remarry woman he infected with HIV

For callously divorcing his wife of 13-years after infecting her with the dreaded Human Immune Virus (HIV), a middle-aged man has been ordered to re-marry her or face the consequences.

This was the verdict of an upper Shari’a court sitting at Sabon Gari, after the case was brought before it by the aggrieved wife.

The husband by name, Abdullahi Ahmad was dragged to the court by ex-wife Umma Usman, who told the court that the defendant had divorced her and asked her to vacate his house after infecting her with the dreaded disease.

The victim informed the honourable court that both have been living together as a couple for about 13 years and that she had several children with him before she later found out that he is HIV/AIDs positive.

The court also heard that the defendant issued the hapless woman a divorce letter knowing fully that he infected her with the disease.

Umma is praying the court to quash the divorce issued to her by her husband and compel him to re-marry her since he is the one that infected her.

In his verdict, the Judge, Malam Farouk Ahmad, granted the complainant’s plea, canceled the divorce issued to her by the husband and ordered him to immediately re-marry her.

Judge Ahmad said under Islamic Shari’a Law, "it is binding on the husband to stay with the woman for the rest of his life being the one responsible for her getting an infection that has no known cure."

He ordered him to take good care of the woman henceforth

Iranian woman hanged for killing 'man who tried to rape her' after a final reunion with her mother in prison

Reyhaneh Jabbari, 26, pictured in a Tehran courtroom in 2008, will be hanged in the early hours on Saturday for killing a man she claims raped her

Iran has hanged a woman convicted of murdering a man she said was trying to rape her.

The official IRNA news agency says Reyhaneh Jabbari was hanged at dawn Saturday for premeditated murder. It quoted the court ruling as rejecting the claim of attempted rape and saying all evidence proved that Jabbari had plotted to kill Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former intelligence agent.

The court ruling says Jabbari, 27, stabbed Sarbandi in the back in 2007 after purchasing a knife two days earlier.

The execution was carried out after Sarbandi's family refused to pardon Jabbari or accept blood money.

Amnesty International and other human rights groups had called on Iran's judiciary to halt the execution. 

Jabbari was sentenced to death by a criminal court in Tehran in 2009 after what Amnesty International called a 'deeply flawed investigation and trial which failed to examine all of the evidence'.

The date of her execution has been repeatedly delayed but Jabbari's mother Shole Pakravan received a phone call on Friday telling her to visit her daughter in prison for the last time as she would be hanged on Saturday.  

Amnesty International issued a failed last-ditch plea to the government to spare her life.

'This abhorrent execution must not be allowed to take place, particularly when there are serious doubts about the circumstances of the killing,' said Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui, Middle East and North Africa Deputy Director at Amnesty International.

'Instead of continuing to execute people, authorities in Iran should reform their judicial system, which dangerously relies on processes which fail to meet international law and standards for fair trial.

'Under international human rights standards people charged with crimes punishable by death are entitled to the strictest observance of all fair trial guarantees.'

Jabbari's mother has previously given emotional interviews discussing her daughter's plight and begging the Iranian government to spare her life.

Speaking earlier this month via Skype to Fox News, Pakravan said: 'I wish they would come tie a rope around my neck and kill me instead, but to allow Rayhaneh to come back home.'

'The only thing I want ... from God, from people around the world ... in any way, in any form, is I just want to bring Rayhaneh back home,' she added.

We also want you guys to understand that we celebrities bleach our skin so that we can lighten up your screens so you will never have to increase the brightness and contrast of your TV anymore.

You can ask our Nigerian movie producers why they prefer us light skinned actors. That being said, we also want to sound a note of warning to all celebrity bleachers. According to section 19 of our annually reviewed constitution, no bleacher operating within our ranks has any right whatsoever to disrespect his or her fans. Such unruly attitude should stop henceforth. Anyone culpable of this dastardly act will be severely dealt with according to what is stated in our constitution. We want to also use this medium to pass this vital information to the rest of the public and it will be in the interest of everyone to read the following very carefully.

The ABNC is the umbrella body of all celebrity bleachers and we are responsible for every bleaching celebrity you see on TV and on the streets. We will also like you to understand that no celebrity bleacher will intentionally snub or refuse to shake hands with his or her fans. A lot of these incidents have occurred as a result of stigmatisation of bleachers by the public. Nigerian celebrity bleachers especially have been unfairly criticised by the public for having black knuckles, white body and black yansh.

Therefore, the unwillingness of celebrity bleachers to shake hands in public should be regarded as a silent protest over the bizarre treatment accorded bleachers in this country. They are humans and they deserve the rights to decide their skin or vein colours. Be it black, blue, red or rainbow, it is their choice and the public must accept and respect it. After all, if you are a very observant fan, you would have noticed that all light-skinned male celebrities always wear suits or long sleeve shirts and walk with their hands in their pockets. Walking with your hands in your pockets is prescribed by this distinguished organisation to all bleachers.

In cases of bleaching gone wry, please note that celebrity bleachers don’t do all these because they want to be seen as fashionably sensitive or too cool to care. They do it to avoid that embarrassing moment when you discover that your pretty face celebrity has the hands of a local tye and dye merchant.

We hope that henceforth, whenever you see a light skinned celebrity with pocketed hands, you will save yourself the embarrassment and kindly let him be. We swear, you don’t want to see that armpit. Our sincere appreciation also goes to all men out there dating a celebrity bleacher, we commend your patience. You have stood by them knowing you can’t take them to the pool because of their black yansh. And when they forced you to take them against your will to the pool, you still had to endure the fact that they got into the swimming pool fully dressed in their leggings, T-shirts and stockings.

May you be rewarded handsomely for your stoicism and perseverance. One quick advice though, inasmuch as you may love your bleached spouse and want to treat her to different types of adventure, it is paramount that you resist every pressure to take her to the beach.

The accepted norm to know a singer or an artiste’s worth is the reeling out of an LP or an album. In Nigeria today, there is more concentration from artistes in spewing out single after single in the silent bid that one just might be the hit they have been craving for.

P-Square is a group that defies logic in this game of from single to album. There is this midas touch from these boys that just keeps everybody in awe.

Hate ‘em, Love ‘em, they are one of the very few professionals left in this dispensation.

As an OAP, I play back to back hit songs for 6hours Monday to Friday, and I now want to take a critical look at albums that have come out recently so as to know why the craze for singles short of albums which is every artiste’s nightmare.

This is a review of Psquare’s 6TH album DOUBLE TROUBLE.

Track 1: SHEKINI

An ‘African Jungle Beat’ as I term it, popularised the likes of Davido’s ‘AYE/SKELEWU’,Runtown’s ‘GALLARDO’ etc. It’s a beat with a waist winding push and prompts to mind the wave of the SHOKI/SKELEWU/SEKEM dance. The joker about this track is that the Igbo boys that isPsquare actually sang the hook in impeccable Yoruba. Attention grabbing track for an album opener.

Track 2: MISSING YOU

A nice highlife track. I believe Sunny Neji is one ingredient missing from this track. It has its upbeat swing that brings in the vintage Psquare flavour. Guys, make sure you are not missing your lady when listening to this track.

Track 3: BRING IT ONft DAVE SCOTT

A personal favourite. An initial 20 second listen of this track from the start would leave you guessing if it’s a foreign track. Featuring Dave Scott,  a hitherto unknown American singer from Texas. Listening to this mid tempo pop track with its undulating beat, apart from its message of hope, voice artistry comes into play here. The harmony of Dave’s voice and that of Psquare is absolutely timed and mind blowing. Rudeboy himself solely produced this one, and that would be Paul Okoye!

Track 4: MMS(Mugu Money Spender)

You just have to give it to the power of the African Jungle Beat yet again. It seems as if Psquare are being penitent from the carefree ‘CHOP MY MONEY’ frenzy and are now wise with the way money is to be spent. LOL.Hardcorebassline accompanies this yet  another dance track to the wave of Skelewu/Shoki/Sekem dance step.

Track 5: IFEOMA

If you know Psquare, this is another vintage track with a pleading message of love assisted with a mix of highlife and uptempo reggae. The bassline too just grabs my attention. Guys, this is another song you could use to win your sweethearts back. But please tell her that when she hears IFEOMA being called out in the song she should replace it with her own name in her head o!

Track 6:  EJEAJO ft TI

Now this is a track with a Yoruba phrase ‘EJEAJO’ which means ‘Let’s dance’ .Psquare takes us back to the swinging 80’s soul train era with this intense pop tune. Personally, I believe Jermaine Jackson would have fit into this track because the American rapper T.I rap comes up short. It’s a nice experiment  and would hit the reminiscing over 35’s. Good back up video though.

Track 7: COLLABO ft DON JAZZY

Funnily enough Don Jazzy didn’t produce this track. Another African Jungle Beat with good vibes from the collabo of Psquare and Don Jazzy, produced by Oscar. Chicks love this jam. Beware if a chick sings it to you!

Track 8: OGADIGIDE

I was expecting to hear Flavour’s input in this track because this is just down his alley. Inspiring track in igbo chorus whose title means ‘ It will last forever’. A fine blend of highlife and African Jungle Beat.

Track 9: NO BE JOKE

Rhythm and Blues slow tempo with a good bassline, aligning drumbeats and a blend of the Pqsuare trademark voice.

Track 10: ENEMY SOLOft AWILO LONGOMBA

No doubt this song is geared at haters and probably was structured to make them dance when they hear it hence the makossabeat . The track’s authenticity is heightened with the inclusion of the Makossa maestro AWILO LOGOMBA who did justice with his own rendition in his Congolese dialect from the start of the song. On point for makossa lovers,

Track 11: SARI SARI

Another up tempo highlife song depicting love to a girl. This dance tracks shows the dexterity of Psquare being able switch from pidgin to igbo then English with a smooth flow. Love the guitar solos though.

Track 12: ZOMBIE ft Jermaine Jackson

Okay, this is where I have a little bit of bother. Is it the Michael Jackson-like wail his brother Jermaine added throughout this track? Or is it that the track is a stylish mix of Afrobeat and pop? Or is it that it sounds like an experimental sound? I think this is the track T.I should have featured in to add that rap feel. This song was produced solely by Mr P and that would be Peter Okoye!

Track 13: IJE LOVE

This is the track you would dedicate to that special woman in your life. I can see this track being played at wedding reception because of its up tempo nature and infusion of highlife

2 dead, 4 wounded after homecoming prince opens fire in Washington school

Two students of the Marysville-Pilchuck High School are dead after one of them opened fire at the school cafeteria before turning the gun on himself. An eyewitness, Jordan Luton told CNN he was finishing his lunch in the cafeteria at Washington state's Marysville-Pilchuck High School on Friday when he heard it -- a loud bang. 

Then there was another. And another. And another. And another. What he saw was freshman Jaylen Fryberg go up to a table with students, "came up from behind ... and fired about six bullets into the students' backs. They were his friends, so it wasn't just random." Some of the students began to run. Luton and others hit the ground, some hiding under tables. 

Unfortunately, by the time it was over, two people -- the gunman and a female student -- were dead and four were wounded, according to authorities. Those wounded were all under the age of 18 and included two of Jaylen's cousins. 

They are now intensive care, an official says. Jaylen, authorities said, would have wrecked more havoc but he was accosted by a teacher named Megan Silberberger while he was trying to reload his gun. 

The boy then pointed the gun at the teacher before turning it to himself and shooting himself dead. One week ago, Jaylen Fryberg stood tall as part of his high school's homecoming court, spurring his fellow students to cheer.
On Friday, he brought them to tears.
The gun used in the shooting, a "high capacity" weapon, has been traced to Fryberg's father.

News Update : Former President of the NBA, Mr. Okey Wali (SAN) Has been Released

 Kidnappers have released a former President of the Nigeria Bar Association, Mr. Okey Wali (SAN).

The current NBA President, Mr. Augustine Alegeh (SAN), said in a statement that Wali was released at about 11pm on Thursday.

Wali, who was abducted in Port Harcourt on October 11, was said to have been released “hale, hearty and in good spirit”.

Alegeh said, “The 26th President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Okey Wali, was at about 11pm tonight (Thursday) 23rd October, 2014 released by his abductors after 13 days in captivity.

“I have personally spoken to him and can confirm that he is hale, hearty and in good spirit. He expresses his appreciation to members of the Bar and Bench, the security agencies, friends and family for their concern, support and prayers during the period of his ordeal. He gives glory to God for his safe release.

“The Nigerian Bar Association is delighted by the safe release of Wali and wishes to express appreciation to all NBA members and well-meaning Nigerians who supported the Bar and Wali’s family during this trying period.

“We must also commend NBA members for keeping calm throughout this period and not taking any steps that may have directly or indirectly jeopardised the efforts for his safe release which have now yielded positive results.”

While commending the security agencies for the safe release of the former NBA chairman, the association asked the government to be alive to its responsibility of addressing the increasing spate of insecurity in the country.

The Rivers State Police Command, however, confirmed Wali’s release, but it was not clear as of the time of filing this report if any ransom was paid to effect the release of the victim.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Mohammad, said he had not been briefed on the area where Wali was released.

Jungle Justice : Mob set lecturer ablaze for killing five pupils in auto crash

Alhaji Kassimu Umar, a Lecturer at the Taraba College of Education (COE) Zing, was on Friday burnt to death in a mob action after he allegedly hit and killed five primary school pupils with a vehicle he was driving.

Mr Joseph Kwaji, the Police Public Relations officer (PPRO), of the Taraba Police Command confirmed the incident in Jalingo.

He said that the mob forcefully removed Umar from the Pupule Police Outpost, where he went to report the incident, and the mob burnt him to death.

“In the early hours of today, one Kassimu Umar, who is believed to be a lecturer with COE, Zing had knocked down five primary school pupils in Zing, who all died on the spot.

“After he reported the incident to the Pupule Police Outstation, irate youths in their hundreds, stormed the station, dragged him out and lynched him.

“Our investigation revealed that the lecturer was trying to dodge a trailer, when he ran over the pupils whose ages ranged between eight and 11 years,” he said.

Kwaji said that the matter was under investigation, adding that no arrest had so far been made. (NAN)
