At Least 3 Dead As Pedestrian Bridge Collapses In Kano


  At least 3 people have been confirmed dead following the collapse of a pedestrian bridge along Jafar road in Dorayi Quarters in Kano state, North West Nigeria.

  Residents confirmed that the construction of the bridge has not been completed when it fell down on a taxi driver carrying at least three people from Kabuga to Dorayi.The construction of Jafar Road started early this year, but was completed recently, leaving only the pedestrian bridge which fell down.The Police Spokesman, Magaji Majia, who confirmed the incident said the pedestal was not properly placed when the bridge collapsed.The remaining part of the bridge also collapsed on tricycle on Monday, but there was no injury recorded.
