A powerful 6.6-magnitude earthquake shook the Papua New
Guinea region on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The epicenter of the quake was 44 miles (71 km) northeast of
Finschhafen at a depth of 32 miles (52 km).
There were no immediate reports of damage.
