The
beef between Snoop Dogg and Iggy Azalea may be
over, but it looks like the ‘Black Widow’ rapper might be starting a new one —
this time with the Australian division of her record label.
According to a series of tweets earlier today (Oct. 16),
Iggy called out the label for selling a photo taken during an old Complex
magazine photo shoot to Maxim Australia without consulting her first.
Im going to publicly say something to the australian
division of my record label right now because my message seems to be ignored
privately.

stop giving permission on my behalf for magazines to
purchase images of me that have already been printed in major publications for
covers.

australian label, i love you guys but you allowed my image
to be sold to cosmo Aus when i told you i would prefer for that not to happen.

and now this morning i see you've allowed maxim australia to
buy an image from a 2011 complex mag shoot and put it on the cover.

i think its awesome anyone would want me on the cover of a
magazine, but theres a right way to make that happen and the australian label

clearly aren't respecting my wishes. a magazine cover
deserves an accompanying photoshoot not a reused image.

The photo Iggy is referring to is a shot in which she’s
wearing a metallic gold one-piece swimsuit that only covers her lady parts. The
image was featured in Complex’s 10th Anniversary issue in 2012.
The same photo is used as the cover image of Maxim
Australia’s Hot 100 list — Iggy has topped the magazine’s list. The
only difference between the images is the background color. It’s gold in Maxim
while Complex uses a light blue.
While Maxim Australia did use the image, Iggy doesn’t blame
the magazine but only wishes she could could have done a proper shoot with
them.
maxim australia, thanks for the love and I'm sorry no one
asked me. i would have love to have given an interview & done a shoot with
u guys

Her record label and Maxim Australia have yet to comment on
the matter.
