A toddler was flown to the hospital after falling from a
third-floor window in Viera.
Brevard County Fire Rescue District Chief Scott Jurgensen
said the incident occurred at the Highlands Apartments near the county's
government center Sunday afternoon.
He said the girl fell from a window around 1:15 p.m. and
landed in bushes. She was described initially as stable, with possible serious
injuries.
However, after she was checked and treated at Arnold Palmer
Hospital, the Sheriff's Office said the girl did not have any fractures.
Cpl. Dave Jacobs said that the fall appears to have been
accidental and the child pushed out the screen while she was on a changing
table.
The case is still under investigation.Via.wesh.
